Cafe Danmark - Saturday 24 May 2025

Welcome to our very popular Café Denmark at The Danish Club in Brisbane.

Café Denmark is a concept that celebrates all our favourite things about Denmark. Especially the food, drinks and the famous Danish “hygge”. We do our best to bring a little piece of Denmark into your life. 

The next Café Denmark is on 24 May from 1pm to 4pm and registration is essential.

All members and guests are welcome. Non-members, please sign the guest book upon arrival.

If you have a membership, log in to your account to receive the 20 percent discount.

Ticket and food orders close on 17 May, one week before the event, so please pre-order to avoid disappointment!

We always serve the famous Danish “smørrebrød” at Café Denmark. “Smørrebrød” is an open-sandwich with different types of delicious toppings and trimmings.

The menu for this event is: 

• Fiskefillet m. remoulade og citron - Buttered Danish rye bread with fish fillets, lemon and delicious Danish remoulade (tangy condiment).
• Roast-beef m. remoulade og ristede løg - Buttered Danish rye bread w. roast beef, Danish remoulade (tangy condiment) and fried onion.
• Ostemad m. peperfrugt – White bread w. cheese, capsicum and trimmings. 
• Leverpostej m. bacon og champingon - Buttered Danish Rye bread w. lever pate, crispy bacon and sautéed mushrooms.
• Laksemousse m. citron - Buttered Danish rye bread with salmon mousse with lemon and trimmings. 
• NEW: Hønsesalat med bacon: Buttered Danish rye bread with Danish chicken salad with bacon. 
• Hotdog m. det hele - Hotdog with ketchup, mustard, Danish remoulade, raw onion, pickled cucumber and fried onion.

The bar will be open with plenty of beers, Gajol shots, Danish snaps, wine, soft drinks, etc. 

Coffee and tea are complimentary, and it is possible to buy a piece of cake for your coffee.   

On the day of the event, the kitchen closes at 3pm, so please ensure you have collected all food items by this time.

You can also order delicious cheese: 1kg Havarti or 750g Esrom (approx). Must be pre-ordered! 

PRE-ORDERS for smørrebrød, hotdogs, bakery items and cheese CLOSE at 12pm on 17 May 2025.

Options available for purchase on the day 

• Hotdogs - There will be hotdogs available to purchase on the day, but it is recommended to pre-order to avoid disappointment.
• Shop items including traditional Danish candy and alcohol - First come, first served. No holds.
• Danish pastry to enjoy with your complimentary tea/coffee.
